Cheryl Przytula, Music Director

Born and raised in the Imperial Valley of southeastern California, Cheryl began studying trumpet at the age of 7 under the guidance of her parents, Alex and Peggy Przytula, Jr.  She completed her Bachelor of Music degree at California State University Long Beach in 1991 and in 1993 became principal trumpet of the UNAM Philharmonic Orchestra in Mexico City.  In 1997 she began a 20 year career in the US Air Force Bands program.  During this time, she served in five different USAF bands.  While serving with the USAF Band of Liberty at Hanscom AFB she discovered New England.  After her military retirement in 2018 she returned here to study with Terry Everson at Boston University where she received her Performance Diploma in 2020.  Currently, Cheryl is a freelance trumpet player and performs with many of New England's community and professional musical groups. She is a licensed real estate agent.  Her hobbies include animals, rowing, motorcycles and life in general.
