Bay Colony Brass rehearses every Monday night from 7:30 - 10:00 at Saint Michael Parish Church in Bedford, MA. The rehearsal space is behind the main church building in the Parish hall. Rehearsals are open, but please contact us if you would like to stop by.

Saint Malachy Parish, Burlington, MA., is happy to announce a holiday musical program for parishioners, relatives, friends and the public. On Saturday evening, December 12 at 7:30 PM the Saint Malachy adult choir joined by members of the Belmont II Ward Choir of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will perform Christmas music and sing-a-longs. The combined choirs will be co-directed by Ken Meltz, Saint Malachy music director, and Ben Castleton, director of the Belmont Ward II choir. For this evening program the Bay Colony Brass, directed by Jerry Cadden, will also join the program along with The Merrimack Valley Ringers directed by Karen Leonard. The brass ensemble is made up of 20 members playing a variety of brass instruments including trumpet, trombone, French horns and tubas. The handbell ensemble numbers 17 ringers playing five and a half octaves of bells and chimes with additional percussion and keyboard.

Bay Colony Brass will appear at the Gordon College Symphonic Band: Thanksgiving Celebration on Saturday, November 21, 2009, 7:00 PM — 9:00 PM. We will be sharing the program with the Gordon College Symphonic Band under David Rox, which will perform a variety of works in celebration of Thanksgiving.

22 piece brass ensemble will perform music by Ravel (Alborada del Gracioso), Jacques Casterede (Three Fanfares for Proclamations by Napoleon--with narrator), Alfred Reed (Othello), Gregson (first movement from Tuba Concerto, Steve Skov, tuba soloist), music from movies, etc.

Part of 27th Annual New England Intercollegiate Band Concert presented by the New England College Band Association. BCB begins the program with music by Alfred Reed and John Williams. The rest of the concert presents a select band, comprised of over 50 students from over 20 colleges and universities throughout New England, conducted by Peter Boonshaft from Hofstra University. Tickets will be available at the door the night of the concert; $10 for adults and $7 for seniors and children under 12.
